Yes it’s still around and for some reason I decided to look it up this evening. For the unwary, don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity at the outset. It will take all of your math skill and much time if you let it.

Update: 11:25 in after leaving it running overnight. I’ve hit the idle part of idle gaming. Quite happy to have rediscovered silly game to play on a computer that doesn’t require video card or large driving rig set up.

Update: 2.5 days in all the new additions from last 5-6 years are finally being encountered. Few mistakes along the way might be compounded by loading the mobile app in a bit. Picked a place with lots of nice round numbers for last update.

Very good question.

Hadn’t noticed it was stuck there. Expected to see it replaced by an hour rule or something before too long. All I did was the standard change date and time in edit + embiggen. I’ll undue the embiggen to make the page work better Thanks for informing me.

Maybe one of the ‘lifers’ here can fix it?

It’s just curious that a future time stamp didn’t result in it being removed from published status and scheduled, but instead posted and immovable until the scheduled  time was reached.

Perhaps the embiggening triggered a bu g somewhere.

In doubt you can check the time on the EDT timezone but even so, strange things like that also happened to me once or twice.

This whole non-local timezone thing is a mess, especially when it’s not the same day between you and NY or AM/PM .

Yes, don’t get sick.  You understand what I’m saying has some native truths though I suspect.  Food chemistry is not a good thing and you’re basically stuck with the problems for many years.

If only you knew how much more time consuming this game has gotten. I think another new building and mini-game are enroute too.

As others hinted. You can do some fun things in the console or just add “saysopensesame” to your name and get the dev controls. That last really sucks the amount of time required to kill the game dead if desired.

My wife has celiac disease, it is a very serious gluten allergy cooked or not. It doesn’t cause anaphylaxis but will leave her in serious pain, vomiting and other digestive distress for days.

Well I haven’t outgrown it in over 15 years of living with this allergy so I don’t suspect it will go away. I’m not gluten sensitive like some people I know who can set it aside if they just really want a donut or whatever. I get suddenly and violently I’ll and then feel pretty terrible for a few hours.

I don’t mind eating hamburgers without a bun though. I’ve gotten used to it and even like it. Besides, it's a pretty good reason to not drink too. I just own it and am all the happier for that.

My wife has the same, a very serious case of Celiac disease. Any gluten whatsoever will cause her serious digestive distress. If I eat a sandwich and kiss her before brushing my teeth it upsets her.

Most of our house is gluten free, but I have a few dedicated gluten pots, dishes and so on that only I use and her food never touches.

I’m not quite that sensitive but trace food contamination will make me varying degrees of i ll. I haven’t actually fully consumed gluten in probably 10 years because it absolutely messes me up and I’ve learned my lesson. Never again! I probably only get gluten contamination symptoms twice a year or less because I’m so careful. It’s not worth it.

I have to have my own toasters though. I can get away with washed plates.

What I was trying to express was more along the lines of antibiotic resistant diseases. Only in crops which are then further refined into something unnatural.  Throw in corporate greed and the die is set.

Yes those are problems with commercial food production , but gluten allergy/intolerance is a serious condition like any other allergy. If contamination is regular or you don’t take it seriously will ultimately end up causing intestinal or colon cancer. Those that have a gluten allergy, the ingestion of it actually causes damage the cilia in your intestines which in turn created problem with food moving through your tract and so on.

While there are people who drop gluten for a diet or other reasons it is a very serious medical condition and you shouldn’t be dismissive of it. We actually appreciate these people as they’ve made the commercially available gluten free foods far more readily available. It used to be an absolute nightmare shopping for it.

I took no offense, I’m simply trying to educate you on this actually quite serious matter .

Sounds like you’re taking care of yourself, which is awesome. The plates are overkill, but it’s a habit we’ve developed and it helps us keep contamination way down.

We have separate toasters too, we made a mistake with a toaster oven but the convection in it ended up causing a problem.  We wrongfully assumed it’d be more like a regular oven which isn’t a problem.  Me cooking gluten food in it made her sick after we made something else in it.  The fan moved enough of it around that a detectible (by her) amount of it stuck to her food.

Yeah that's the kind of thing you would never anticipate but living with it gets you wise to. I remember when it used to be sooooo much harder to be gluten free though.

Oh, was that what you were trying to say? I'm not really sure what combination of factors has led to an explosion in gluten allergies but I was an early victim from before people really knew what it was. Very likely linked to genetically modified crops but then again non genetically modified crops don't really exist anymore but are just modified to varying degrees. You can't really avoid it.
